Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and NDCT (New Drugs and Clinical Trials)

Index Medical College, Hospital and Research Center (Malwanchal University)organized and conducted a Workshop on Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and NDCT (New Drugs and Clinical Trials).

This workshop aimed at training the participants about the ethics, rules, regulations, roles and responsibilities of various stake holders in the development and study ofdrugs as per the standards of NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Health Care)and ICMR guidelines.

The workshop deliberated on the following topics:

  • Overviews of Good Clinical Practice – Definition and Evolution, Principles of GCP
  • CDSCO, WHO and ICH
  • Prospects of Clinical Trialsand Biomedical Health Research in India
  • Roles and responsibilities of stake holders (sponsors, investigators and regulators), informed consent, confidentiality, privacy, vulnerable populations, ethical considerations
  • EC/IRB members and their roles and responsibilities, safety consideration in CR
  • Documentation, data handling and record keeping, monitoring, audit and inspection in Clinical Trials and NDCT Rules 2019.

The awareness and understanding of all these topics were emphasized to be a vital component of Medical Sciences.

Dr.Prem Nyati, Dr. Suraj Tripathi and Dr.Aarti S. and Ms. Deepshikha were the facilitator of the workshop.

The workshop was attended by 44 participants from different Medical and Dental Departments as well as the expert non-affiliated members of various Ethics Committees.

The workshop followed the COVID-19 safety measure normsand the study material and the contents of entire lectures were provided in eco-friendly electronic manner.

The key for the pre and post tests were also posted in whatsapp group of the workshop. Evaluation analysis of both the tests (posted in the group) reflected a huge positive change in the concepts of the participants.


Felicitation of Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria, Chairman, Index Medical College, Hospital and Research Center (Malwanchal University) by Indore District Administration for willingly contributing hospital facilities and treatment services for COVID-19 patients

Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria, Chairman, Index Medical College, Hospital and Research Center (Malwanchal University) was felicitated by Indore District Administration for willingly and whole heartedly contributing hospital facilities and treatment services for COVID-19 patients during a felicitation ceremony on 26th January, 2021. Madhya Pradesh Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silavat did the honours by presenting the felicitation certificate and memento to Shri Bhadoria.

Index Hospital served humanity in times of the pandemic and set an excellent example of selflessness and service during which Corona positive patients were treated in Index Hospital.

Late Dr.Ajay Joshi, Ex-Medical Superintendent of Index Medical Hospital was honoured through felicitation which was received by his wife Dr.Shreelekha Joshi.

During the ceremony, Minister Shri Silavat said that Corona is a terrible disaster for the entire world and it would have been impossible to fight it only with medical equipments and medications. Corona is being defeated successfully in this war because health workers are risking their lives and serving humanity.

Several of these patients admitted in Index Hospital were elderly and many of them were admitted to the hospital at a late stage of infection and their condition was very critical. Considering their treatment as a challenge, the hospital staff worked hard round the clock and were extremely happy on achieving success.

Collector Shri Manish Singh and Inspector General of Police Shri Harinarayan Chari Mishra were also present during this felicitation ceremony.

Index Hospital Vice-Chairman Mr.Mayankraj Singh Bhadoria, Director Shri R.S. Ranawat and Additional Director Shri R.C. Yadav were also present in this ceremony. On this occasion were present Nodal Officer Dr.Sudhir Maurya, Associate Medical Superintendent Dr.Ajay Singh Thakur, Chief COVID Coordinator Dr.Deepti Singh Hada, Administrative Officer Mr.Nitin Gotwal, along with their team including Assistant Nodal Officer of Vaccination Program Dr.Mamta Singh, Dr.Dheeraj Sharma, Dr.Himanshu Singh, and Dr.Rajat Chauhan.


COVID-19 Vaccination started in Index Medical College, Hospital and Research Center

COVID-19 Index Medical College, Hospital and Research Center (Malwanchal University) which exemplifies service and dedication in times of the pandemic. Index Medical Hospital rendered excellent treatment to Corona positive patients and this event marked the beginning of vaccination in Index Medical College premises on 25th January, 2021. 100 people were vaccinated on the first day and also was targeted on daily basis. On the auspicious occasion of this new beginning, Madhya Pradesh Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silavat and Index Medical College officials were present during this inauguration.

Praising the services of Index Medical College, Minister Shri Silavat expressed his appreciation towards the doctors. He appealed to everyone to trust the Indian COVID-19 vaccine. He endorsed respectfully the efforts of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Madhya Pradesh State Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan who have constantly been trying to win over Corona virus menace.

Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria, Chairman of Index Group (Mayank Welfare Society) said that Corona infected patients were treated at the Index Medical College with modern medical facilities and starting vaccinations here marks the advent of better and healing times. Minister Shri Silavat inspected all the arrangements in the hospital premises on this occasion and also expressed confidence in the services provided by the hospital.

Dr. GS Patel, Dean, Index Medical College and Dr. Sandhya P. Manjrekar, Medical Superintendent, Index Hospital said that it would only be a matter of opportunity to further serve society. They assured that the entire Index team will carry out this responsibility of vaccination with enthusiasm.

Director Shri RS Ranawat, Additional Director Shri RC Yadav, Deputy Director Ms. Chitra Khirwadkar were present during this event of inauguration of the vaccination programme. COVID Chief Coordinator and Vaccine Nodal Officer Dr. Deepti Singh Hada, Nodal officer Dr. Sudhir Maurya and Additional Nodal Officer Dr. Mamta Singh played an important role during the programme. A large number of doctors, students, staff members, patients and their family members also attended this inauguration programme.
